Default voice print like tool?

I am not a PT power user, but I am a voice actor. I am about to read a book and want to have my audio sessions sound close from day to day. I have used apple's spundtrack and there is a voice print command where you can take a sample of a track and it will add the eq to another part of a track.

I know I am going to be off axis a bit on my TLM 103 on different days, so I want to audio to match as well as possible.

Any suggestions?

Import session data for the voice track you want to use as the "model". That imports those track settings which you like to the new track. Then copy (drag and drop) the waveform into the track. It applies the old setting to the new .wav.

This will sound flippant, but it's not.

Don't be off axis.

Really.

And maintain the same distance to the mic. Proximity effect can vary dramatically with distance.

It's part of the gig, being consistent.

And record yourself the same time of the day every day. And don't record a super long session that allows you to tire to the point of changing your sound. Take breaks. Perform consistency checks.

thanks, I appreciate the candor, but I used off axis as an example. I don't have the luxury of same time of day. In case my audio sounded a tiny bit different from take to take, I just wanted to have a back-up plan in case on take was a "bit off".

I am working with an artist who has taken literally years to finish some songs.
When I came aboard, I saw how things were going and convinced him to have a vocal standard...
That standard being the same mic, pre, distance and technique.
A few years ago, I was essentially fired after another group of people convinced the artist that they would take it to a different level.
Well.. after 3 years, they delivered on their promise and took the project down about 6 levels.
I find myself re-hired.
The artist followed our vocal standard idea and we are able to comp parts that are years apart.
A standard works better than a matching plugin any day of the week. (or any year of the decade)

And...

Keep the mic in the same position/location in your recording environment. Delivering consistency is a practiced skill among singers and voice talent. It's a skill worth developing. You are right to be concerned about it. Be diligent. You'll be able to do it.
