Using expand!2 for drums
Reading the rather thin expand manual doesn’t seem to answer this question:
I’m trying to create a rather typical trap drum track of bass, kick, hi hat, snare, cymbals, etc. I can find where the drum sounds I want on the various tracks are on the piano roll, but no more than two at a time. I realize two more can be found on another MIDI part. But I can’t see how to have say four instruments going without creating another instrument track, both memory intensive and cumbersome and confusing trying to keep straight which drum sounds are on ehich instrument teack. Is this doable?, or is there a better way? |

Re: Using expand!2 for drums
If you're up to date past 2018.1 and have a 2018 Air Instruments bundle installed, there are several kits you can load via 'recall inserts' that might be usable as is or give you a better idea of how to configure. Track Presets, one of the better new features.

Re: Using expand!2 for drums
Expand2 is a great little plugin, but not something I would reach for to make an entire drum performance. Addictive Drums, EZdrummer and the like are a much better tool
