Same bug I've been having when Play is loading an instrument, either inside pro tools or as a stand alone. I've called, emailed Focusrite and Play enough time that I don't remember how much by now, and nothing has ever been done.

Although this also normally happens when you open a session that is not the format the the focusrite is set to. Example if you open an old session you did in 48k while your current focusrite settings is 96k. I haven't had to create any new temple. Just save the one you tried to open, close pro tools, switch to the right sample rate/ asio settings, reopen pro tools and the session. As a good practice, write what sample rate you use as part of your session folders name.

I had this issue a lot until I figured out that some of my overclock timing settings were wrong. Only happens now if, as said previously, you try to open a session with a different sample rate than what the interface is set to. Just make sure the sample rate is locked in to the session's sample rate in the Mix Control before booting up Pro Tools. Sometimes you might even have to power cycle the Saffire too. Not really a big issue once you figure out the correct sequence. It's also better if you tend to use one sample rate most of the time - not always possible, I know.

Would be sweet if you could change the sample rate directly in Pro Tools without having to reboot! I miss that about the 003.

That's about the only thing I miss - my Mac is a little bit more forgiving and works generally very well - but the tight integration with my 003r and PT was very nice - low buffers also
