The Attributes page will be greyed out if Follow Globals is checked. If that's the case, then you can adjust the settings on the Globals page. With the Insert settings linked on the Attributes or Globals page, moving grouped parameters in plugins is working fine for me.

What you can't do is only link specific controls in a particular plugin without disabling automation for the parameters you don't want to link. You can link a specific insert slot across a group, then whichever parameters are enabled for automation will change together if the group is turned on.

Thanks for the explanation. Works a treat. Something that threw me was in the manual it shows a different graphic for the 'modify groups' window as regards check boxes across the bottom of the window than what the screenshot I posted earlier shows.

Glad you got it working!

The manual has gotten sooo much bigger and more complex (as has the software) since I started going through it at version 3 or 4.something, lol. The boxes along the bottom are for saving Presets of different arrangements of parameters for making different types of groups quickly. I don't think I've ever used those, TBH.

I just noticed I mispoke about the row along the bottom. Rather I meant to say the checkboxes above the bottom row. The manual shows one thing and my screenshot shows something else in either the globals or individual tracks pages. Agreed on the manual - really needs a going over.

At least the manual is a pdf. Digital Performer for the longest time only had a printed manual and a barely useful help system for the program. But no full pdf like PT has.

Solution:
1-Right-click a group and select Modify
2-UNcheck Follow Globals
3-Select Attributes and check boxes as needed

Oops! Late to the game........
