Pro Tools 6.4 available!

6.4 is here, just downloaded it. Seems fine on iBook G3 with mBox. Nice new features.

The following control surfaces were not tested with Pro Tools 6.4, and therefore are not officially supported. The Pro Tools TDM and LE version 6.4 CDs contain an "unsupported" folder with the following control surface personality files:

6.4 working fine on my laptop with MBox and 10.3.3
Love the plugin folders but does anyone know how to move them between folders or are we stuck with what Digi says is the order.
Still only one app at a time with core audio which is a pain.
Does it seem as if ProTools loads faster or is it my imagination?

The HUI's performance has been somewhat inconsistant since PT 6.x (taking the machine back to 5.x puts the performance back) so this is no surprise, but has been one of the reasons why I have found all those praise of the Mackie Control strange.
If the Control24 had a version without those preamps that I don't like I would have gone that route a long time ago.
If the Command8 feels right and has expanders it will probably be my solution

shouting seems to help you? maybe feel better however the forum is for users primarily and not for you to send an ultimatum for digi to help you out. have you tried the support phone and email?

It's greed man, simply greed. I remember emailing Digi and Mackie about the Mackie Control. Digi said the Mackie was the one who had to update the "HUI mode". Mackie's response was that Digi stopped working with them on a new HUI mode a while back and didn't want to release the Protools data codes (or something) that would enable them to rewrite the HUI mode for Protools. I fwd the email from Mackie to Digi asking why................but Digi never responded. I wonder why? But the Mackie Control does work pretty good on 6.1.1.

But I bet third party controller will not work with PT 7.0 I think Digi's just mad that these controllers out sold their's. History has proven that "GREED" kills.

I have talked with them for the last 2 updates about this problem............. and guess what the problem is still there. I don't have the patience for toying around with stupid issues like this so, I make my stand now, and YELL YELL YELL.............
