These are great!! Gil does a great job of giving the lay of the land in a straight forward manner.

You almost feel like you could sit and use the desk after watching them.

I watched all the videos. I didn't see Gil Flip plug ins or sends to faders once. Can we still do that with the S6?

Not yet. I heard end of year. This and instantiating plugs form the surface are the two big features missing and needed to reach parity with ICON. They have til Jan.

Dang, Ok. I don't understand why anyone would ever want to use a controller for plug in menus. Seems super slow. I just reach for the keyboard and mouse for anything related to set up or menus.

Touch screen and TFTs. Touch screen to do it, TFTs to see it. or some variation thereof.

This is possible now with AAX and I am hopeful it's how it will be implemented.

Not there in name, but that functionality is basically covered by Layouts and the way you navigate around the desk. The matrix for example seems to allow you to show all Auxes, or VCAs, etc. That's CF tracks mode. Selecting a plugin and set it to Expanded mode (I think that's what it's called) is like CF Plugin Mode, so you can still do LARC style control of verbs etc.

Hi Drew,

At the moment you can't flip any other parameters down on to the faders, it's volume (and trim) only at this stage. In layout mode you can make multiple copies of the one track on several faders, I assume the intention of this is to then be able to flip down particular parameters to the faders and save as a layout, but as far as I know fader flip is not functional yet.

Didn't say you could. I said it was one of the big things missing.
