Well, ideally it would be 20Hz to 20000Hz and would have a flat ( linear ) response over that range. Even the best monitors only come close to this and they are very, very expensive and also require a specially designed room to be effective which with design and contruction usually costs more than monitors.

On practice, good and afordable monitors have an average frequency response of 50Hz to 20KHz with volume variations of no more than +/-2dB and maybe even +/-3dB along the frequency spectrum.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Specifications are available from manufacturers, and are different on every model and make. (they will even vary between speakers of the same make and model, as no two speakers are exactly alike.)

Check manufacturers websites for details, or ask your pro audio dealer for spec sheets on specific models you are interested in.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi there
Thanks to you to Where.
Im asking this question, since alot of articles concerning surroundsound, says that you should get full range monitors, but says nothing about the freq. resp. of these full range monitors.

Thanks again
