Something like this. Set the Short Term Min/Max settings as needed. Also, if the program has wide dynamics, set the Momentary Scale to LUFS 18dB.

Well, i found out i can change the "momentary scale" to LKFS instead of LUFS.
Great.

But according to the post above, LUFS is the same as KLFS?

So when i finished watching my material, it should land on -20 LKFS and have a max peak of -1 dbtp?

What about the "method" button? (in the lower left corner)
What should it be switched to?
EBU, LM1 or Dial?

ITU, LEQ, and what wehigting? Thanks

Tak

Don't worry, LKFS and LUFS are the same.

Method - EBU

Weighting - BS1770

Target -20

Short Term Max -18
Short Term Min -23

That will give you a window of +2 and -3

Enable the True Peak Limiter and set to -1dBTP

That should do it.

If you want to learn more about loudness and loudness metering then follow my series on Pro Tools Expert.

Hope that helps...

came on here to ask some similiar questions ?

what should the short term reading max out at if I am mixing to -23LUFS?

I have a show I am doing now - usually I get specs with a +/- 2 on a 24 LUFS show.

but this one the specs just say average 23 LUFS

I've only ever worked to loudness meters on 'talkie' drama stuff with little action - I never had a QC knock back - but I never let it go "over" for even a fraction of a second

but I am struggling now with an action animation. seems to want to push over all the time!! if I am in - it doesnt seem to have any impact
