Hello,

To Check you have the correct settings for the transport (shown below) using just the Axiom screen and buttons

Code:
Controller CC Ch MSB LSB Pgm

LOOP 146 16 127 0 113
REW 146 16 127 0 114
FF 146 16 127 0 115
STOP 146 16 127 0 116
PLAY 146 16 127 0 117
REC 146 16 127 0 118
1. Press LOOP, wait a while and the display should say CC 146

2. Do the same for REW, FF, STOP, PLAY, and REC. All should also be CC 146

3. Press Data 1 and go through all transport controls as above, you should now see PROG 113, 114, 115, 116, 117 and 118 respectively

4. Do the same for Data 2 and they should all read MIN 00

5. Repeat for Data 3 and they should all be MAX 127

6. Finally check Chan Assign which should all be CHAN 16

If any are wrong you can easily change them from the Axiom by entering the required value on the numeric keypad while the parameter is still flashing (eg CC) on the screen

eg To set LOOP program to 113:-
Press LOOP then Data 1 then 113 - Done!

Cheers

Thank you for your patience and help. Everything is now set. I think the key problem was in my Midi Control Setup. Stupidly, I had it set up for Mbox2 rather than Axiom 49, which I did not see hidden under the Predefined option before.
All the best,
Joe

I have 2 problems with my Axiom25 and protools 8cs2.
1- all buttons on the transport control work properly except the loop button which has no effect by itself or in conjunction with the other transport buttons!
2- the knobs work with protools mixer volume faders, but I can't make them to change to work with plug-ins.

protools 8 HD2, 192, Axiom 25

Hello,

Enigma can be troublesome.

Try programming the Axiom from the front panel as I outlined in an earlier post, then saving as sysex dump to SysExLibrarian to give you a backup so you can reload them if you ever have to reset the Axiom.

Regarding the knobs they have to be set to MIDI learn to be able to control plugins. The required parameters can be found in the post mentioned above.

Cheers

While using Enigma you must quite Pro Tools and Vice et Versa.
Other strange thing : do not recall the preset with "+" or "-", but with the numeric keypad.

I'm slow going here with setting up my Axiom 61. Right now have just been using it for VI controller. Now that I'm going deeper , would most say Enigma is too much BS and go with SYS ?

Hi Gruddlebug or someone on this thread,

I'm very new to this forum and midi as well. I have a simple question on your setup for Axiom 49 before I go out and buy one of these. With your setup does this then allow you to control for instance the rtas Bomb Factory 1176 plugin nobs? I assume it does but wanted to be sure. As this is the major reason I'm looking at buying one of these. Though I'm sure I will use it for other things in the near future.

Cheers,

-Don

Hello,

Yes - In BF76 click the LEARN button, then click the BF76 knob you want to control, say input, twiddle the required knob on the Axiom, repeat for other required BF76 knobs, then deselect LEARN and it works!

Cheers
