Re: My Personal AAE - 6101 Error
Okay, working on all that. If I unplug the interface how do I input audio to test a session? Do I import mp3s?

Re: My Personal AAE - 6101 Error
Sure just use pre-recorded audio or signal gen... or in some cases use no audio...that may trip up denormalization more.

Re: My Personal AAE - 6101 Error
Okay, I have unplugged the USB hub, the Focusrite interface, and created a session on the new administrator with BuiltIn Monitor as the playback engine. I have unchecked Dynamic Plug-Ins and Ignore Errors. I have set the disk cache to 3gb.
And I have created four stereo audio tracks, imported stereo mp3 mixes of mine, duplicated the four songs about five times on each track, and LOADED them up with plug-ins like reverb, delay, compression, etc. (It sounds really horrible, so all tracks muted). And it appears to be stable. This setup would pop a 6101 pretty quickly before. I'm running the buffer at 256. If this stability continues, does that suggest an issue with the interface and/or interface driver?

Re: My Personal AAE - 6101 Error
Switch back to the interface and see if that trips up on 6101, and if so check driver versions, try others, contact the vendor... (what macOS release are you on? Sierra?.... anything but El Crapitan, that had issues with some USB interfaces.).

Re: My Personal AAE - 6101 Error
Will do. Should I try the interface on this same weird session or create a new one?
I'm on OS High Sierra.

And from before...

Re: My Personal AAE - 6101 Error
Got it.
First, the OWC Mercury Elite-Al Pro's are 500 gig 7,200rpm HDDs. I had them plugged into the powered USB hub and the hub plugged into a USB port on the iMac. But to run this test, I plugged one of the OWC spinners directly into the USB port. The filesystem is Mac OS journaled. Another update: I hooked the Focusrite interface back up to the T-bolt port, opened the same session with all the mp3s and plugins, and even added four more tracks of VIs. Stable as a rock. Could it be that the new OS or the PT 12.8.3 doesn't like that powered USB hub?

Re: My Personal AAE - 6101 Error
Another update: with further pushing I have been able to get 6101 errors with the Focusrite interface and also with the powered USB plugged in.
So far the only configuration that didn't pop an error was when I had the playback engine set to BuiltIn Monitor and had everything else unplugged. Plugging in the interface again eventually produced an error. Plugging in the powered USB eventually produced an error. Is it time for me to uninstall PT, uninstall OS High Sierra, reinstall OS High Sierra, and reinstall PT? Should I revert back to PT 12.8.2?
