I'm having the same problem. Gonna try and go back to 11.1 and try then. This is a seriously bad bug to have though. Y'all need to fix this crap. Unacceptable for such an expensive program

PT's 11.3.1 is latest.

More info on your OS and other setups may get you a better specific answer.

This is a known and reported bug in PT11 that still hasn't been fixed properly in PT12! (see http://protools.ideascale.com/a/dtd/...er/149822-3779. It or may not help if you "vote" to get it fixed - you'll have to register for an account to do so (http://duc.avid.com/showpost.php?p=2265477&postcount=33)!, but its pretty easy to do. See my comments for workarounds.

Strange, as I am currently running 11.3.1 under Win 7 as is the OP and have never had this sort of problem.

That's likely because you use lower sample rates, fewer tracks, and/or larger buffer sizes. All of which are easier on the software. See http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=368271 for details.

Just done three offline bounces of the Kelly Malone demo. One at 24/48, one at 24/96, and one at 32 float/96. All were done with a 64 bit buffer. No problems or errors. The offline bounce speeds were 7.2, 6.4, and 5.6 respectively.

I would also add that if the OP did not do a clean install but just ran the 11.3.1 installer, Windows will just update parts of the existing PT installation, a sure fire cause of problems.

Like I said, you need to get the offline bounce speeds down to <3X. Try a slower hard drive (an old USB 1.0?), NAS, and/or add more tracks (to 10?) and record while monitoring on all of them. I'm starting to think that the problem is caused by PT communication issues with the interface driver - so it would be interesting to see if you PCI interface works better than USB interfaces. Thanks for the feedback!

p.s. I uninstalled 11 before installing 12 on the desktop PC I did the tests on.

Why would he purposefully use unsupported storage in an attempt to gut bounce speeds? And why do you think bounce speeds to an unsupported USB 1.0 hard drive is any reflection of the audio interface?

On top of that, keep in mind offline bounce does not use the interface driver. It all happens internally.
