Q: Can I use Pro Tools LE 6.2.2 software with my Digi 001 system?



A: Digi 001 qualification testing with shipping Power Mac G4s is currently in progress. Although not officially qualified with this release, no major problems have been discovered in early testing with the Digi 001 and Pro Tools LE 6.2.2.



Digi 001 hardware is not compatible with Power Mac G5 models. Digi 001 owners wishing to use Power Mac G5s can take advantage of Digidesign's Hardware Exchange Program to Digi 002, Digi 002 Rack, or Pro Tools|HD systems.

so have you given it a try... can you use the current update with your 001? c'mon, be our guinea pig!

Sorry I haven't got Panther to be able to try it. But if is says so in the Download compatibility docs don't you think it should work?
I wanted to buy a new G4 iBook and an Mbox for some location recording, but I was worried about the whole compatibility issue after seeing posts about it not working. i believe the G4 iBook/Mbox setup is also mentioned as compatible, on the same page that I quoted earlier. (i always feel compelled to use one of those bloody faces!!)
