Default Oh Geeze! Bursts of white Noise, Crackles & Pops

Hi, I,ve finally experienced what everyone here is talking about, The burst of white Noise and crackles and pops.
Setup:
Dell Inspiron 1525
Win Xp Pro sp3
Intel core duo 2.00Ghz
3 Gig Ram
7200 rpm internal Hard Disk
M-audio Fast Track & Fast Track Pro (latest drivers from M-audio web site)
Laptop is optomized for music recording ( disabled wifi, nic, no internet, no virus protection etc...
Happens playing the demo songs, its fine for a few mins but then always happens almost blew my ears and headphones out!
Other software works great on this pc (Sonar 8.5.3, Sonar X1b, Reaper 4.01) never a glitchor pop or crackle. Please give us a patch to fix this asap!
Thank you
Tommy
