Sorry, I don't quite understand your last sentence as you have typed it.

There are two parts to the Expansion update; a Pro Tools update for the GUI (user interface in Pro Tools), and the firmware update for the 11R. The Pro Tools update can be ran as many times as necessary. If you update to 8.0.5 after installing the Expansion pack, you will need to reinstall the Pro Tools portion of the Expansion Pack update again. The PDF included in the Expansion Pack update will give detail on this process.

Finally got the EXP last night and messed around with it for about 3 hours before having to turn in. Very impressed...

The amps I tried out so far were the Black SR, MS-30 and RB-01b.

As far as effects I only tried the White Boost Overdrive (this thing is great, and very versatile) and DC Custom Distortion (wow...really great sounding pedal).

I want to get more into the delay, parametric EQ and multi-chorus, as I didn't have enough time to explore those. (When I heard the chorus at NAMM I nearly fainted, it was so great-sounding so I have to find a way to dial that sound in.)

I did get out my bass and mess around briefly with the bass amps. It's going to be great to just record bass with the 11R and not have to worry about using AmpliTube.

For $99, this is a steal. Thank you Avid and the 11R team. I've had this product since Dec. '09 and have really enjoyed it. And it's now even better...

Question: there are audio samples of new patches from the Expansion Pack on the EXP page, and a couple of the clean tones were unbelievable sounding. Any way to get presets for those?

I think that all of the audio samples were made with Presets which ship with Firmware 2.0. Scroll around in the Factory Rigs (lower case a1, a2...z3, z4).

If you still can't find the sound you heard at NAMM, I probably have those presets around here somewhere...
