Draggin audio from workspace = Beachball - Avid Pro Audio Community

Draggin audio from workspace = Beachball

When I drag the Audio from the Workspace browser on a track I get the spinning beachball for 40 seconds. if I reboot this goes away. Does anyone know what causes this?
