A few Mix/Control questions
Hey all,
Got my Control V2 and my Mix in the studio now. I'm impressed for the most part, but do have a couple of questions: 1) I'm using Cubase and have noticed that 0dB on the Artist faders does not line up with 0dB on Cubase. Is there a way to calibrate? It's off by a few dB. Using the "shift-fader touch" key combo does instantly set it to zero, but manually moving the fader to 0dB makes is off by a few dB. 2) I have also noticed that the screen viewing angle on the Control is very shallow. You have to be almost on top of it to get it to look "right". On a desk (I have an Argosy desk), I can't get the viewing angle to work. I even cut some wood to lift the back legs of the consoles up, but it would need to go quite a bit more (almost 45 degrees) to be high enough. Is there a way to adjust screen contrast? All I see is brightness. 3) Anyone using the Mix or Control to change fader levels in RME's TotalMix on a PC? I can't seem to get it to work. Thanks in advance, Jim |
