Default Invisible Audio?

Hi,

I'm having an issue with a phantom trumpet part that's playing even after I delete it. If I paste a new one in there it just keeps playing the invisible one. I'm sure it's something I'm not seeing, but I can't figure it out. I'm using an HD3 system with PT8.0.3. The OS is Snow Leopard. I have downloaded the latest updates as of a couple of days ago. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for taking the time to help.

-Jeff

That's a new one... at least to me.

Is it possible that it could have been accidentally recorded to another track? Trying soloing the track in question, where the "phantom" audio is playing.

Or you forgot that you're using Melodyne plugin on that track and you've imported audio into it at that point.

Funny. I was just going to suggest that after wondering why my deleted track was still playing just now. 16 hours straight in the studio will cause this kind of error. :)

Thanks for the ideas everyone. The Melodyne thought is a good one, but I'm only using it for a second on the trombone track way earlier in the piece. I'll double check that one though. The audio is on that track. Soloing all the other tracks won't give it to me. I'll check to see if there's a hidden track, but I don't think I did that. Soloing the trumpet track gives it to me, whether there's any visible audio there or not. Weird...

Thanks again, Jeff
