Default Dither or not to dither that is the question! Please help!

Hello I'm doing a final bounce from the master faders to 2 track 16Bit 44.1 My session is 24 bit so i would like to dither to 16. Usually i have an L1 followed by the Apogee master tools UV22. I set the L1 not to dither before it goes into the UV22 for final 16 but dither. However on the Bounce option menu in pro tools what bounce option resolution should I specify (leave it at 24 bit?) I am confused?????

Set to 16 bits. It simply truncates and does not add dither which is what you want in this case since you're already dithering on the master.

I think Studio Dweller meant to say "does NOT add dither", unless I'm mistaken. There was a very long thread on this subject a month or so back. It is kind of confusing...
