Can't find Avid License control utility

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and would like to ask a question:

I have recently purchased the latest version of Protools Express (for windows 7).

I need to temporarily transfer the license to a different computer. The thread below instructs me to launch 'Avid License Control' (see link):

However, I cannot find this unility on my computer. The specified directory does not exist and I ran a search for the utility and it came back with nothing.

Am I missing something?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, only the Avid video products like Media Composer use the Avid License Control. I don't believe that would apply to Pro Tools Express.

I think that Pro Tools Express uses an iLok license. According to the Mbox that includes Pro Tools Express What's in the Box, an iLok for authorizing Express comes with that.

So in order to transfer the license on an iLok, you would use www.ilok.com

But if you already have an iLok with the Pro Tools Express license on it, you would only need to move the iLok to the other computer to authorize Pro Tools Express on a different computer.
