Kids prefer the ukulele nowadays... guitar is kinda „out“ for them...

Or maybe its just not "fashionable" like Hammond B3 was for a while through the eighties and early nineties. Or like when guitar solo's disappeared during much of the grunge peak. I remember seeing B3 and leslie packages selling for $1000 during that time, but now they go upwards of 7-10 grand? Back with a vengeance

And the B3 in protools is quite an amazing thing as well / lots of options and no tube, drivetrain, or weight issues!!

The guitar/electric guitar will thrive forever, as will 'real bands'. Fads will always come and go.

ya, sad sack tale here;
back in the early 80s we had a B3 with two Leslie's,
that were a huge hassle to cart around to gigs
and Hey, there is this new cool thing called midi that just arrived;
who needs to fark around with three behemoth cases.

So we put an ad in the old Pennysaver for $200, which no one bit on.
We then lowered it to 100 and someone finally called and offered us 50 if we would deliver it.
Insulted we said no
but we ended up giving them away
to the first person who showed up with a truck...!

That is one reason.
There is another reason:
My brother is teaching guitar for kids and teens, he says, a lot of his students get their lives "scheduled": Monday - guitar lessons; Tuesday - sports, Wednesday - French lessons, etc.
For some kids, it is simply too much.
They are not allowed to be kids any more, to play , to explore...
It can be stress to be a kid in our days.

Man, when I think back, I had to tape the songs and listen to them carefully, just to find out the guitar riffs...
Today, the kids get everything taught on Youtube... amazing, I wished I had that growing up.
On the other hand I learned to listen
