What are most people using to back up session now a days? I have a C.D.-R. burner, but the Pro Tools session a are 1 gig or more. Is there an affordable solution?

Re: Back-Up Flavor?
Mezzo and DDS or AIT. I've not had any experience with the latter but, apparently, it's the bomb. DDS3 has served me quite well, however, and Mezzo, as long as you pay attention to what is where, does a far better job of keeping track of your files than any of us can.

Re: Back-Up Flavor?
I'm using a Sony AIT drive and its great. Extrememly fast, re-writable, and each tape holds north of 20 gigs. The tapes are a bit pricey ($60-80), but the speed and capacity make up for that.

Re: Back-Up Flavor?
Hi,
I was using a DDS-2 drive. I recently got a Ecrix VXA drive. 66 Gigs compressed, 33 uncompressed. Works great. tech |
