Can you give us your system details...OS version, PT version etc.

Did you try the suggestions in the Troubleshooting thread on the first page of this section ?

You should also check this page, it has some info on the order that you should engage the phantom power etc.

http://www.digidesign.com/compato/osx/mbox2/pb.cfm

I'd be inclined to try a powered USB hub, to see whether your mBox is still alive.

It is a two update process - did you complete both the driver install and the firmware update? Check the instructions at http://www.digidesign.com/download/mbox2/

What's weird is that I came across this same exact problem today. It's weird, I noticed it seems to be a two-step process but I'm not hitting those two steps. I dl the .dmg, extract it, run the firmware updater and then it tells me to restart. I've ran those steps ten times now and never does it extract another updater on my desktop.

So I'm stuck with a light-less mbox2 unrecognized by PT. Help! I must be missing something dumb.

**EDIT: It was something dumb. I had so much crap on my desktop, I failed to see the extra app it did put on my desktop. Ran that sucker and voila! Lights back on!**
