Default Starting from where you select with the cursor

How do you you make your settings so that, when a song is playing you can select a part and hit the space bar and it will play there. Or so that when you hit the space bar to stop the song, it will go back to the place where the cursor was. Instead of hitting the space bar, and having the cursor go to where you stopped the song. So you don't have to select the spot all the time. Hopefully that made since.
