Default What's the score with LE 8 and Lion?

Hello.

Are many people happily running LE on Lion, Mountain Lion etc.?

I was about to upgrade to PT10 in anticipation of a move to a new MacMini quad, then noticed a few posts where people have cited PT8 was running okay.

Wouldn't mind knowing a definitive answer from any happy campers?

MBox Mini 2 should still be okay with a new MacMini, albeit ran through a powered USB 2 hub?

From my personal experience, and from what I've read on this board, PT8 runs fine on Lion, IF:
You're running PT8 on Snow Leopard, then upgrade to Lion. If you've purchased a computer with Lion or Mountain Lion already installed, and try to install PT8 on it, you will be unsuccessful. (Note: running PT8 on Lion or above will probably result in the loss of midi capabilities.)

Others may have different experiences, but I'm running PT8.05 on a MacBook Pro and Mac Mini with no problems.

Thank you.

I guess a Snow Leopard install on a new machine is then advisable, following the upgrade path as suggested.

No MIDI? - so, no MIDI from an Mbox?

I don't think that is possible b/c of the drivers, extensions and whatnot......You should check with the mac store or website.......to be sure.

I know I looked into it once but it wasn't possible to downgrade due to the different hardware.....
