Shot and scene audio clips from an EDL

Hi all

Is there away to creat audio shot/scene clips from an EDL even if just shot or cuts. This is for sound design on a t.v series 13 eps so if I can extract a shot/cut from EDL that will make me heaps faster.

What software can I use, how can I view the EDL.

What I want is a visual representation of the cuts in audio regions to make editing faster for ambient tracklay amongst other things.

are you looking for a way to READ an EDL or a way to conform directly in PT with an EDL ??

I want to create a shot track, empty audio clips on timeline that represent the cuts. I understand an EDL will have the information that I need to create empty audio clips which I can then place on protools timeline. This will make it easier for me when doing ambience, track lay etc... this is an efficiency I want to adopt into my studio.

are you willing to type the info in manually or are you looking for a way to get this info into PT automatically ??

I have an edl from the editor. I would love to use a bit of software like media composer one or resolve or whatever to injest read and some how bump out a audio track with cuts. Needs to be windows software. Is there a way???

Yes. Get EdiLoad. That will create a "Cut Track" with empty regions representing the cuts in a picture. Or, by using the script file, it can create a "Scene" regions, if desired. Of course, you can also combine both of them by having two individual tracks. Clever app.

Thanks everyone, was able to use resolve for now. I will definitely have a look into ediload. The cut track sped up my tracklay 10 fold, it is definitely an efficiency I want to adopt into my workflow.
