Correct pitch from 453 to 440
I'm mixing a band who accidentally (apparently a studio intern bumped a tuning mode on a guitar pedal) recorded a song with A=453 instead of A=440. Does anyone know the precise measurement of this difference in semitones?
I have X-Form and I realize it may just be better to keep it this way, but I'd still like to try and have a bead on it the next time it happens if at all possible. Cheers Ryan

Re: Correct pitch from 453 to 440
Using the signal generator and InTune/Essential Tuner Plugins:
Intune : 453hz is +50 cents above 440hz Essential Tuner " 453 is 61 cents above 440hs These sound about right. It's about a half step sharp. |

Re: Correct pitch from 453 to 440
Thank you Timothyd4y. Yes, good description. It seems to actually be a bit sharper than 50 cents in InTune - maybe more like 51-52. Appreciate it! Good idea.

Re: Correct pitch from 453 to 440
453/440*100 = 102,9545 % Higher than 440hz
you have to add 2,9545 % to 440 in order to reach 453 or 440*1,029545454545455 = 453 so in the pitch plug you can also choose to enter a percentage which in this case would be 1,0295
