Default Mbox With MacBook 2.16 Optimal Set-up for max Performance

I am wondering what the best setup for attaining max performance out of my set-up is. I am running the following below. I have read other post that state they are running tons of plug-ins and I have hardware crashes with just 4 plug-ins. Please give advice!!

PT 7.4
Macbook 2.16 2 gig ram
original Mbox

Thanks for any help!!

Default Re: Mbox With MacBook 2.16 Optimal Set-up for max Performanc

I can relate.

PT just isn't as powerful as it was when I owned my 1st Gen. Macbook: 1.83 GHz and 1 Gig of RAM, with Tiger and PT 7.3.

I used to be able to really push that machine to it's limits (32 tracks, 10 - 12 FX returns, Master track, and plugins on everything and everywhere!!) and it would still function, albeit a little slower.

Now, I'm lucky if I can get 1/2 that. And, everything is up to spec. and date according to Digi's guidelines. I'm bummed!

Current set-up:
Macbook: 2.1 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 Gig of RAM with Leopard 10.5.3
Digi 002r, PT 7.4.2
