Also, I have tried the "click track". It is also set up correctly. The problem appears to be that the transport absolutely WILL NOT move.

Have tried that a few times. No go. This is just too weird. Hoping someone will jump in with an idea. Is it possible that their is a glitch in my Pro Tools software? Grrrrr.

Have you checked the website for the latest version? Updates would be like 11.0.XX.
