Samplerate issue: WAV plays back in the wrong tune

Every wav file I play, either a file @ 44100 or 48000hz plays back at a wrong tune. Too high!! This only happens when I play back the file with the digiwavedriver. In quicktime, cooledit, mp, ...

Does someone know how to fix this? It makes me go nuts!
