Re: Pro Tools 12.1 and Application Manager
In that case, I wish I had your problems! I just fired up PT 12.1 and at 3 seconds into playback it made a LOUD stuttering noise and shut down, whilst continuing to stutter til I restarted Windows. Upon reboot, I started PT again and things seemed smooth until...I left PT running (not playing) while I got my guitar ready. I took about 10 minutes. When I sat back down PT was completely locked up!!!
Is there a method out there for starting from scratch? Should I go back to PT 12.0? Re-install the HD drivers as well? I just want to record!!!! So frustrating.

Re: Application Manager reporting update available that's already installed
I just wanted to give a quick update here and say that I was definitely having issues separate from the Application Manager bugs. It's possible my drive needed a firmware update and/or my Mbox 2 Pro simply doesn't play nice with 12. I went back to 11.3.1 and it seems pretty solid now.
I wrote a more lengthy update in the Pro Tools Software (Win) forum: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=369739

Re: Application Manager reporting update available that's already installed
Having the exact same issue. I was going to post the exact same screenshot that 'txrx' posted so I won't bother. I have 12.1 installed and working. Application Manager says I have 12.0.0.456 and need to update. Control Panel says I have both 12.0.0.456 AND 12.1.0.94. The version of Application Manager is 2.4.2.6435. I'm not going to touch anything yet, but I definitely want to remove the old version 12.0.0.456 of Pro Tools if it's really still there. I look in the Program Files folder and I don't see multiple copies, so it must just be a registry entry that needs to be removed. If I dare to f#%k with it, I'll post my results.
In the meantime, Avid, please advise on how to deal with this. thanks! ::UPDATE: Decided to look in regedit for the version of Pro Tools. Every entry I found mentioned 12.1.0.94. Nothing about 12.0.0.456. I really don't know where Application Manager or Control Panel is seeing the old version. Really need to figure this out. I'm in the middle of several projects and I need to trust this!!! Last edited by Multiguy; 07-26-2015 at 09:46 PM. Reason: update |

cool! thanks for the info Jeffro. so no worries then... that will probably be fixed in the next PT update for sure then. fingers crossed but that should be somewhat of a simple fix. cheers

Application Manager not working - Stuck on ver. 12.0.0.456
Hi,
I'm running Application Manager version 2.4.2.6435. AM is reporting that there is a new Pro Tools Version 12.0.0.456 available. In fact I'm running PT 12.1. If I try to hit INSTALL button the installation fails. How do I revert to a working state of the AM so that I can make sure that I will get later PT updates? Thank you.
