How do you arpeggiate in ProTools?
As far as I know there is no way tool built into pro tools for arpeggiation. If anyone knows of one please tell me, I'd love to be wrong on this.
So the alternative is a plugin which is kind of a pain, I don't want to have to add a plugin just to arpeggiate something. Is there another way to do this? There is an arppegiator button on my midi keyboard but it is touch tempo and I can't get it to sync with the tempo of my DAW. |

Re: How do you arpeggiate in ProTools?
Cthulhu (plug-in) will do what you want.
There nothing built into PT as they don’t have any MIDI FX. You say you don’t want to load a plugin, but there’s no way around it. TBH, it’s the same in other DAWs except most others have built in MIDI FX. But, you’re still essentially loading a plugin. If it’s not built into the soft synth, there no other way. Play in or manually enter the notes for one section. Quantize as necessary. Duplicate section as many times as needed. |
