Default Need help with mo6 and mpc 2000xl

I am using the mo6 and mpc 2000xl. I have everything together, I am able to record my mo6 sounds to mpc by midi and layer drums on top. But I want to know how do I sequence these two together when trying to lay my track out. I want to bring certain sounds from the mo in and take certain sounds out. I thought that if I record each sound from the mo on a different track on the mpc that I would be able to solo out each instrument track from the mo but when I press the solo button on the mpc all of the sounds from the mo plays. Im not able to solo out none of the tracks from the mo. Solo on the mpc only takes out the drums and leave everything else. What am I doing wrong or do I need to sequence drums on the mpc and sequence my other sounds from the mo6 on the mo6? thanks
