Cubase 8 and EuCon

Forgive me, there is much conflicting info about EuCon functionality in Cubase 8.

I'm considering an upgrade from Cubase 5 to Cubase Pro 8, which is super cheap.. I rely heavily on the Artist series of controllers. How is the integration between EuCon and Cubase 8?

It's pretty good, about 80% of the artist functionallity works with the included v7 eucon adapter, transport works too.
Things that don't work are mix open/close the arming of EQ, you need to turn them on in DAW first, before eucon sees them, preset browsing doesn't work either and midi quick controls do sort of work (one plugin shows more than the other)

I'll second Raphie's post. It's a bit messy but you can work a bit on the configuration and adjust it to taste. Out of the box it's not as good as it is on PT, but it's definitely usable.
