PT 10 repeatable crash

Clean install
OSX 10.7.5 + PT 10.3.7 (no other apps , no plug ins , no external FW stuff )


Launch PT with the "N" key

Playback engine window shows " built in Line Input "

change setting to " HD TDM "

hit okay ... CRASH



any suggestions ? thanks !

The main problem is :
My rig has become very unstable over the last weeks

- PT often crashes on startup
- Loop crash , playback loops for a few seconds and PT crashes
- ADC problems
( f.x. audio rooted to Output 7-8 produces a audible delay on one side, changing the Output of the track to lets say 9-10 .. no problem , back to Output 7-8 : the delay is back )
- missing I/Os on the Omni , by reopening a perfectly working session again


Regular procedure:
Trash all prefs, check / swap RAM, reseat Accel cards + all cables, make sure plug ins are up to date, reset Omni interface, updating Omni firmware ( was up to date already ) , reinstall PT etc.



After hours of troubleshooting / searching the DUC, i did a complete clean install on a fresh partition and noticed the problem

I can't figure out what is causing the problems
The Mac Pro , HD cards , Omni , Software ...?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

You ran digitest to see if cards are ok?
Checked to see if you dont have missing components on the cards?

It's a DAE crash. I cannot tell why the DAE is crashing.

Do you have the core card in the slot closest to the graphics card? Do you have the ribbon cable between the two cards connected properly. The ribbon cable should be connected to Port B on the core card and port A on second card.

wow .. my card order was wrong ... for years !!

i swapped the cards , trashed all prefs / plists again etc. , double checked everything

... but still get the crash while launching PT with the N key

updated PT to 10.3.8 ... no luck
