The 8th free track??

I have tried and tried and cannot record the 8th track on PTF. After the 7th track is done I select the 8th track. After selecting record the meter will not move and it is unable to recieve any audio. Is this a common thing?

wow thats strange. i think this could be two things, although the first seems more likely.

1.) you have a corrupted PTF version, try re-installing.
2.) your computer can't handle the 8th track. try messing around with CPU and H/W buffer size and check it out.

I'll try re-installing. Computer can accept all the tracks...just one, (not always the last) won't accept any audio
