Thanks for the clarification. I tend towards plates for drums and will have to demo this one - maybe it'll give me another useful sound.

For some reason, I have two of the 2016 Stereo room licenses. The upgrade page on the Eventide website will only allow you to upgrade one license though.

Are you talking about the SP2016 room algorithm? Vintage or Modern?

No, I'm talking about the deal offered to owners of the Blue 2016 Stereo Room plugin. You get the whole SP2016 plugin for $29, I think that's what you did.

Sure, but I was asking about your last sentence, sorry my question was not very clear. Just curious about what algo you were talking about for snare.

I'm sorry I missed that! The blue one is my favourite reverb to widen snares. In this video I share my chain and settings around minute 3:33
https://youtu.be/bUsiP16BLF8
I also have a return in my template where I use it as an alternative to Soundtoys Microshift to add space without the modulation.
https://youtu.be/Vi8IFEXCnVY
It is an incredible plugin and even though I have Exponential Audio R2 and several other digital reverbs this one is so easy to manipulate and blends so well that I keep trying it first. I'm planning to buy the new one which is terrific but the blue one stays in the picture..

Great thanks for the detailed reply, I will check your videos!

I'm still not that much convinced by the Plate algorithms (V or M) on the new SP2016 Plugin, but I got that sound covered with PSP 2445, Soundtoys Little Plate and Seventh Heaven. Of course at $29 I am more than happy with the new toy

No problem, talking about plugins is one of my favourite things to do in the world :)

Like you I don't have use for this plate algorithm, at least for now, I like to go more realistic with Little Plate or a convolution, however the other 4 room algos are interesting enough to justify having this plugin.

I ended up getting this one. I was hesitant because I really like the old blue Stereo Room but I tried this demo on a clap group track and it sounded so good that I just couldn't resist. In the meantime they released version 1.0.5

Now I hope there are many more clap tracks in my future

Any idea how long the $79 dollar price will last?

There is a 97 samples delay when I work at 96k. Is there any way to turn off the delay so it's latency free?
