Default 2018.7 hanging on 'Waves shield 9.92 at start up
At start up, PT's hangs at Waves plug,,,I've been using a different daw for quite a while now, but still check in on PT's updates. This one looks interesting in some ways so thought I'd give a go. Although I've pointed PT's to the waves plug folder, (which is where it's always been!!) It keeps going back to asking where the file is. Have to restart to close PT's, task manager won't do it?? Any ideas,,,, Thanks, Mike

IIRC, Waves is at V10. Maybe you need to update? I have no issues with Waves and PT 2018.7.

Hey thanks,,,, I hadn't realized that. Always try to avoid the good ole WUP as long as possible, but might not be a bad time to check it out!?? Might also try a reinstall, see what happens. Time permitting...… Appreciate the idea. I'm quite sure this is one of those one off situations,,,, if there is a problem to have, I'll have it! Story of my life!

I'm on version 10 and Waves would hang at start up than crash. After a reinstall of Waves everything has worked fine for the past several days with no problems.

I had Waves 9.92 running fine with 2018.7 before I updated v10. Maybe the re-installing all Waves stuff would help (like abc1mce2 did).

Well I thought I had Waves 9.9.2 because PT's asked for it, but I only have 9.2.0and 9.2.6!! SOooo,,,, looks like WUP time. Its been a while anyway. Might go ahead and get the SSL plugs. Or might just change it up and go with UAD??

Man,,,,,thats not right either! I checked some of the Waves while in Studio One,,, they're all showing the 9.9.2 vers…? Even though my Waves acc. shows only 9.2. Confused as usual, I need to try to reinstall Waves.

If you have Waves 9.anything, your license should be good for Waves 9.anythingelse. Try reinstalling Waves Central (gulp), but whatever you do, DON'T check the "update my plugins" tick box. It will update them to v10 which you don't have a license for, and that's a whole world of pain to unpick.

Reinstall all waves plugins usually fixes this for me.
