I did...lol

I started typing a reply, but the wife called me and it timed out on me. didn't have time to start over. All of Big Suave's songs were recorded and mixed in ProTools Digi-001 and AKG C4000 mic. Waves, Digi-rack plug-ins. But they are rough recordings, I never uploaded the new ones. I did all the music on the ASR-10(love my board). I am about to order the Motif 76 because I also arrange music for marching bands and I needed a board that works a little better with midi. I just got Rebirth Software(for drums), it's nice now that I've learned to work it. I plan to got the Focusrite PreAmps (Voicemaster Pro & Octo-Pre) and Mackie Control when Digi releases support for it.

If you're pushed for money get Digi-001 and a good mic(at less $400 bucks), a midi keyboard controller, and lots more sounds for your MPC. You'll also need some plug-ins(Waves bundle is king). Then build on that. You can have great gear and be the worst engineer OR have some good gear and learn how the make it work like great gear. Practice makes progress.
