Yamaha be a waste of money, since it has 12 inputes and uses a ADAT for 8 inputes. the 01v is also not supported by Digidesign. Only the faders work.

I been doing alor of reading. I really like the Mackie HUI setup. Probably buy the Mackie Baby HUI with 60mm. The Motormix buy protools works also.

There is some very good threads on this subject and real good post by digidesign themselve on the subject.

Hi
The Mackie Control is around $1000.
But please remember that its not yet supported by PT (or is it the other way around???).
The Mackie Control will, according to Digi, support PT, when NAMM starts in Jan. 2003.

I've got a Yamaha AW4416. The Aw can control pro tools mixers (up to 32) and pans. Yamaha might increase the functions in the future.

It also has a 24bit 16track recorder. I use pro tools for editing and bung the audio back to the AW for mixing. It's good
