This should not be hard. An aiff file tells you in the header exactly what it is. Usually easy to just see with tools like od or hexdump or similar. As I suggested before just post a file online somewhere and lets us look at it.

Does iTunes or quicktime open the file? What format do they say the file is in? If its AIFF from the Zoom it should be PCM encoded.

If iTunes or Quicktime won't open it then my suspicion is it is not an aiff file at all. What makes you think it is in the first place? The file name extension?

Nope. You need to upload it to a general file sharing site and post a link to that here.

I've tried ITunes & Quik Player w/o success.

Is there a General File Sharing Site or 2 you recommend?

Thanks,

Larson

I got them to download< I think, to Dropbox. But the Session timed out? Not sure what happened.

How do I get them to you?

I'm trying to send you a Link to this Project but I think it's only one Track?

Can you see this & does it make any sense?

Thanks,

Larsongs

Can you follow directions on Dropbox on how to "share a link" and make sure "anybody with link can view" is set and paste that link here so everybody can access that. And yes all i want to see is the single original file that you think is an aiff file. I don't want anything else.

I don't think you ever answered my question about why you think this is an aiff file?

Sorry it didn't come thru. Dropbox loaded about half the Project Files & something happened causing my Computer to go offline? I rebooted & decided to share just one Track. I thought I was providing a shared Link? I'll take another run at it.

When I originally loaded it into ProTools it said MRS1266 AIFF at the Top hence I assumed it was AIFF. My Client said it was recorded on a Zoom but couldn't say for sure that it was an MRS1266.

Thanks
