Pro Tools crashes on quit, doesn't work with Tascam Interface

i do not have a folder named digidesign there. i have looked at the other folders and nothing like this is in any of them.

Even with this, we still need all the requested basic info from above. What version of PT are you on? What OS are you using? 32-bit? 64-bit?

This will help you delete those file no problem.

Ok thank you for the help. I have done everything requested of me in the forum and the optimization and drivers page. i have also run the trasher app someone here linked to. To reiterate:

the problem is pro tools crashes at every single close, not matter what i do. no error message is given. it just freezes up and windows gives the "not responding" message and it crashes.

Since you're on a laptop, do the Optimizations and Troubleshooting steps in my posted link above. It's recommended that you use a separate audio drive for your PT sessions. That said, it shouldn't be the source of the system freeze when you shut down PT.

So then I am told, no whoever said it would work with your tascam interface (that literally EVERYTHING else works with perfectly) but whoever told you that was wrong. You need to purchase an Mbox, it will work perfectly then. .

It really should work with any ASIO interface. I'd have a talk with the dealer's manager and demand that they take the Mbox back with a full refund and get it working with your interface or give you your money back.

You should be furious but with the dealer as opposed to Avid. They screwed you over instead of providing the support they got paid to give you.
