Digi001 ADAT, Alesis ADAT Edit and Fostex VM00

Hi!
I am investigating a setup for
- Digi001
- Alesis ADAT Edit PCI Card on a PC (or MAC)
- Fostex VM2000 with ADAT I/O.

I'd like to be able to use the Fostex as an extra AD/DA for the Digi001 using its ADAT I/O and also for the ADAT Edit Card.

The computers will be moved around to different locations for different purposes but I need to know that I can connect them for audio transfers as well as for direct recording.

Sometimes a real ADAT will be hooked up.

Does anybody have a clue if this will work out? I am a bit non experienced in using this format, and then we also have the clock sync issues.

I am very greatful for any kind of tip on this.

CD-R of audio files imported on each host.

The mixer is Fostex VM200 and nothing else.

I use a VM200 with an ADAT
and 001 and have had no problems.
Before I got the 001 I had an ADAT
Edit card and it sucked, but everything you
describe should work fine just make
sure all your clock settings are correct.

Thanks, but unfortunately the swedish re-seller of these mixers say that they are not manufactored any more. They refer to the smaller VM 88 which is not adequate.

Does anybody know any other similar Mixers like VM200 (ADAT, connections, scene memories etc). I think Tascam has a TMD-1000 with optinal ADAT but it is a bit more expensive.
