PT12 Clip Rename not working for newly recorded clips
Hey there,
We are having a problem with Pro Tools 12 regarding not being able to rename clips (via command option **** R) that we have just recorded. PT11 with the exact same session allows us to rename the newly recorded clips PT12 will let us rename rename clips that have been dragged into the session (i.e. that we haven't just recorded), but not the new clips - The clips menu flashes as per when you perform the command option shift R but it doesn't bring up the rename menu (like PT11 does). If we use the mouse to select the function via the menu in PT12 the rename window also does not open. Any wisdom of how to get around this problem would be super handy. |

Re: PT12 Clip Rename not working for newly recorded clips
And is Command+Shift+R working ? (From the Shortcuts Guide)
Any chance, that there is an uncleared search in the clip list ? Does double-clicking the clip work ?

Re: PT12 Clip Rename not working for newly recorded clips
I am having this problem right now!
double clicking the clip allows for a rename but Command + Shift + R does not work. Also none of the affected clips are showing up in the clip bin. Clips that do show up in the clips bin however rename using Command + Shift + R with no problem. Using the dropdown menu Clip > Rename also has the same issue. |

Re: PT12 Clip Rename not working for newly recorded clips
Solved!
The clips bin currently had a "Find" active (Command + Shift + F) aparently you can't rename clips while this is active. "Clear Find" (Command + Shift + D) resets the clips bin to its normal state and allows you to rename files again. |
