Default "Unable to locate the settings folder" plugin error question

After having worked just fine for several weeks, I now get this message when trying to save or import any plugin setting: "Unable to locate the settings folder."

I can manually navigate to the plugin settings folder and attempt to import but I get the same message even then. If I make a new plugin setting it will be saved with the session but no user presets or defaults can be created.

Anybody else encounter this?

I'm running PT11 native, Mac Pro quad 2.4
