Protools LE 8.0.5 Having Glitches During Playback wiht Mbox 2 mini on Windows 7 64 bi

Guys,
I am Using Protools LE 8.0.5 with Mbox 2 mini on windows 7 64 bit,
My Computer Configuration is
i5 ,8GB RAM,1 TB Hard DRive,Intel Motherboard with in-built Graphics
I am Having problem While Audio Playback on protools..
I changed my buffer rate to 4096
even it causing glitches noise during playback..
Guys Please Help me to come out of it....

I have encountered a similar problem in the past with an M-Box 2.

No matter what buffer size was selected in Cubase the audio playback was distorted (Although it did improve if the buffer size was increased to 4k).

I followed Digidesign's Windows 7 guide, I even replaced the hard drive and did a complete re-install. In the end the audio interface was replaced with a saffire 24 and all problems were eliminated.

Make sure you have a look through the Digidesign Windows 7 guide but it could be faulty hardware\drivers.

Also if you have access to a second computer to test it on then I recommend doing so.

after your suggestion i followed W7 Guide..
No Improvement ..

Same problem here (after many others..) with Win 7 64, PT LE 8.0.5, Mbox 2, Core I7, 8Gb Ram..
Tried to follow every Win 7 instructions for PT but nothing's better..

Don't really know how to resolve it..

Although, it seems to work on my other PC, who's on Win XP, with less RAM and just a Core2Duo.

Hi !

I just read some threads about this issue, and it seems that the number of processor in the Playback Engine options could resolve randomly the issue.
From 8 processors, i've downgrade it to 4 or less..
But the issue's come back sometimes..
I'm thinking of changing the box to another, and crossgrade my PT 8.05 to 9.
Not sure this will delete the issue, many other users have the same issue with Win 7 64 and PT 9..
I'm lost...
It's a recurrent issue for many users..
Nobody from the Avid Team could give us a solution ??

I am having the same issue, I just upgraded to an i7 and now I cant even record my guitars or anything!!
It is fine on Mac.. I used my mbox 2 on an i5 the other day to record some vocals.. playback was fine also..

WTF is the deall.. must seriously be a processor issue

Oh, please let me join you guys because I have having the same problem. I reinstall everything but nothing can help this problem. My problem is I set 99% 4 processors and they are all fine when I open a session. But after a certain period of time the problem comes out. So I have to close and reopen Pro Tools again.

As I am rewiring Reaper, I thought this might be related. But it seems it is problem of Pro Tools...

You only have one hard drive listed there, protools needs a separate drive for audio...
