003 DAE Loaded Freeze
Hello everyone.....I have recently purchased a Digi 003 Rack that came with Pro tools 8. After dealing with issues withtthe computer I bought, returning it, and having a custom one built. I have still ran into problems. Turns out the disk was faulty in the first place. After changing it out for a new one I have installed Pro Tools, and was finally hoping to get going. No shocker pro tools wouldnt launch. It makes it the the DAE Loaded Screen and freezed. Task Manager says not responding. No use on waiting overnight. Ive noticed a lot of people having the same problems. I am currently downloading the updates for protools (I believe 8.0.x) which says it has new drivers. I am also told it could be a firewire card issue. If the update doesn't work, what can I do to solve the problem? Can anyone help? I'm running Windows XP Pro with a Quad Core I-5 Intel processor with a TB hard drive and 8 gb ram.
