Virtual Instruments & AIR Plug-Ins crashing Pro Tools 10

All Virtual Instruments & AIR Plug-Ins are crashing Pro Tools 10 on my
2.33 ghz/i5 MacBook Pro w/ 8 GB of RAM.
Channel Strip and other plug-ins are working fine.
Aside from Channel Strip the plug-ins that work are not displaying any text in the dropdown menus.

Everything else is working out great.

How do I resolve this plug-in issue?

note: I've already reinstalled PT 10 and Virtual Instruments and deleted non-compatible plug-ins.

I have the same problem, I opened a thread, but nobody gave me the solution yet.

I tried everyting, re-isntall, delete Prefs...

At least I am not the only one with this.

Well, In my case, my dropdown menu is TOTALLY empty.

PT9 works perfect.

Tech Support was a huge help.

After deleting some old digidesign prefs
(see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj2fJHOz8GA and note that to find the user library you must hit option while clicking on the GO drop menu),
verifying disk permissions, and re-installing my iLok driver we find out that my user login profile was too swamped with older files to allow proper loading of plug-ins.

To correct this, we logged out of my user log in and created a new user. Opened up PT 10 and was finally able to access all AIR plug-ins and virtual instruments.

Hopefully this works for you and others with the same issue.

By the way, I know its necessary to delete these files once in a while, I use this tiny utility, It can be handy, you dont have to dig deep in your PC.
