Does anybody know if it's recommended to hook up pro tools by going from an audio interface>into an external hard drive>into computer?

Not the right thread, but when it was only DIGI interfaces, they recommended that the hard drive be the last in the chain; Computer, Interface, HD.

Post your results on a new thread, though.

Avid/Digi has always recommended Computer>HD>interface, and never waivered.

However, some people have had better success, especially with the new Mbox Pro, by reversing the order.

No worries. There is a 'new thread' button at the top of each forum sub-section, just underneath the User CP menu link.

Pro Tools is waiting to exchange RTAS and TDM for AAX once it goes 64bit with PT11. There's plenty of information as to the roadmap from PT10 > PT11 this time.

I already had it so to speak.
