My personal hell.... :(

A project I recorded over 11 years ago on ADAT's. The other producer transferred the tracks to an HD24 than imported in the the computer.

10 songs X 32 tracks each.

I get .wav files OF THE WHOLE TAPE per track. No track names. No broken up into songs.

So, this was a 10 piece funk band with keys, horns, percussion, all that. Each song had different configurations, and of course, when extra tracks were available, we would track extra horns. But going back this many years later, with no track sheets, I have no idea what some of the tracks are. Of course, there are multiple things on some of the tracks. Track 27 might be a trumpet for one song, a back up vocal for another, and maybe even a shaker for yet another.

Then to top it off, the producer for some reason had tracked another band on the tapes after this project, so all the master files need to be trimmed first to remove those tracks, then I need to break out each song.

Ugh is right! I feel your pain. Time to start chopping, naming and exporting

Yup. I first just needed to deal with the master files. Now I gotta split those up into each song.
