Default MIDI Question - Is this normal?

My digital keyboard is routed to my 002 Rack's MIDI input. Whenever the keyboard is on, the MIDI in indicator on the Rack has a steady pulse as if a signal is being sent, even when the session is idle. Is that normal?

Yes -It's called active sensing. No need to worry.
